Notification modules allow your flow to send alerts or messages to people or systems when something notable happens, such as a threshold being crossed or a process completing. Use these to trigger emails, SMS messages, or push notifications as part of your flow.

Protocol modules handle communication standards used to send and receive data between systems, such as MQTT, HTTP, or OPC-UA. They are used when your data source or destination communicates over a specific network protocol rather than a named platform.

Stream modules connect to continuous, real-time data feeds such as message brokers or event queues. Common examples include Kafka, where data flows in a constant, ordered sequence rather than in discrete batches.
